I live in Fort Myers, Florida and have admired the beauty and wonders of the place. Last time, I was chatting with a friend from Atlanta over the phone and I was telling her how lovely Fort Myers is. And the next thing I know, she and some of her friends in college were already on their way to Fort Myers.
I was a tour guide and chauffeur for a day but I had no problem with that. I toured my friends in Fort Myers and we all had a wonderful time. We first went to Lakes Regional Park located at 7330 Gladiolus Drive. It's only 12 minutes away from downtown Fort Myers if you take Cleveland Ave.
Basically, the park has something for everyone. There are birds flying around and fishes in the lake, making it a great time to be close to nature. My friends loved how peaceful and clean the park is. We rented bicycles and pedaled along the bike paths. Then after working with the pedal, we tried wall climbing. It was so tiresome yet fun. We took a breather for a while and enjoyed the beauty of fragrance garden.
Then we went to lunch at Perkin's Restaurant. From Lakes Regional Park, Head south toward Gladiolus Dr then take the 1st left. Turn right at FL-45 S/S Tamiami Trail/US-41 S and make a U-turn at Jamaica Bay Blvd. It's at 14801 South Tamiami Trail. We ate French Dip, Kickin' Chicken and Chef Wrap.
We went shopping at Tanger Outlet Center. It only takes 15 minutes to reach the shopping center from Perkin's Restaurant. We visited Coach Factory, Nike Factory Store and Jones New York to name a few. Tanget Outlet is among my favorite shopping destinations because I get to buy hot finds directly from the manufacturers.
Our last stop was Cypress Lake Country Club. The food we ate at Clubhouse was among the best. Their 3 course meal at $34 is deliciously satisfying. We walked around saw their beautiful golf course. Very picturesque, it is.
